Be Confidentyouthmoveslogo final color

One in five youth has a diagnosable mental health disorder. That's about 20% of your firends, family members and teammates. So you are NOT alone! As a member of Youth M.O.V.E. Seminole, you will learn that it is okay to talk about things that may be happening in your life with your peers. Nine times out of 10, they are experiencing the same things. BE CONFIDENT in the fact that we are here to support each other!

Be Heard

Who knows you better than you? Many times parents, caregivers, therapists, proation oficers and teachers just don't understand where you are coming from. Learning to respectfully advocate for yourself is a skill that you need for the rest of your life. through different conferences, trainings and at our chapter meetings, you will learn valuable techniqus so that you can BE HEARD when it comes to making decisions.

Be Influential

You can make a difference in your community, whether it's by attending meetings, sharing your story, volunteering or just being a friend. There are a lot of ways that you can be a part of the change in Seminole County. it doesn't take much to BE INFLUENTIAL. You just have to be willing to be a part of the process.

Be YOU!

Always rememer to be your authentic self, no matter your ethnicity, sexuality, diagnosis or involvement with Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare or Exceptional Education. Our life experiences make us who we are, and we can learn a lot from each other's differences. Don't ever let anything stop you from BEING YOU!
